Congratulations on seeing your first live rock show. My first concert was Billy Joel in 1990. I've been hooked on concerts ever since.

Woo-hoo! Congrats. (Me: Yes, 1983. Arrgh!! Too long ago.)

WOW!!!!!!!! How wonderful!!!!
Love those great pix!!!.

(I never went to one...did you wave those little glow-sticks like they do in the movies?)
Oooh! Lucky you. I went to my first one so long ago that I have forgotten who it was - the band is most likely forgotten too LOL. I'm not big on crowds but I have put the fear aside for David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Billy Joel, Elton John and Prince ..... I saw AC/DC and the Eurythmics (called Tourists then) in pubs in Sydney before they were famous. There are others but my memory is not what it was ... LOL.
:) That is my biggest fear. I don't want to get hooked on concerts, they are darned expensive.
:) I was three years old in 1983. 2008 is a bit too late to get started, but I'm really glad we did this. (They did not even play my favorite song, A Rush of blood to the head.)
Thank you!

People were waving cellphones. I remember wondering how fast glow-sticks replaced lighters and cellphones replaced glowsticks. :)
Wow, that's a lot of shows! I would love to see Billy Joel in concert..and I would Die to see Floyd or NIN..maybe someday. :)
"underwhelming"? goodness, just seeing your still photographs makes me want to curl under the cot.
Oh, it was a great show in terms of the crowd and noise levels. I just meant that I didn't feel moved at a personal level..most of their music seems to have lost its connection with me.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I missed out on tix both time here in Philly. They sold in like 1 minute! Looks like a blast!
It was fun, certainly. I only got the tickets because the show was re-scheduled and I started haunting eBay months before the actual date.
