Sounds interesting. Do you eat this hot or cold? (or tepid?)
I like it hot, with bread or rice, but it can easily be served tepid, or even cold.
Are "mustard greens" easy to find? They are not in my Soviet Safeway!
I've found both fresh and frozen mustard greens at both Walmart and Kroger..no reason why Safeway shouldn't carry them..they're probably seasonal. (Back in Mississippi, there were Lots of mustard greens available year round.)
My Safeway is a little different to other Safeways .... that's why I refer to it as the "soviet" safeway. I might have to travel to a "trendier" area to find mustard greens I think. I would have to go out into the 'burbs to find a Walmart and I don't know what Kroger is . Is there something I can substitute?
It should taste equally good with spinach alone..or add whatever greens you like..a close second would be broccoli rabe (unlikely resident of a soviet Safeway..:) ; or just add some chopped broccoli.
[this is good]
I love spinach and mustard greens, or whatever greens that can go into a soup. Actually greens can all go into a soup, right? It sounds absolutely delicious!
:) Yes..I'm such a lover of greens that a reliable taster has to test my greens recipes. As far as I'm concerned, even plain boiled turnip greens (a cafetaria staple) are better than anything else!
